Cheyenne Abel is currently a dance major at The Ohio State University. Before enrolling in the university, she trained at The School of Nashville Ballet. Here she received ballet, modern, jazz, and pilates training with an emphasis on ballet. She studied with Adam Sage and Robert Philander Valentine as well as Jennifer McNamera of the Nashville Ballet Company. In 2008, she worked with the Vanderbilt Dance Theatre associated with Vanderbilt University under the direction of Thomas Shoemaker. During the summer of 2007, Cheyenne attended Tennessee's Governor's School For the Arts, studying with Kim Neal Nofsinger and Ivan Pulinkala.
