Ann Sofie Ann Sofie Clemmensen grew up in Denmark. Before entering the world of dance, she was an elite gymnast of the style “Danish Performance Gymnastics” touring the world with the National Danish Performance team. Graduated from The Norwegian College of Dance in 2006 with a degree in Dance and Pedagogy and in 2007 she was offered to join the Northern School of Contemporary Dance (Leed, UK) postgraduate Company Verve08, here she performed new works by Darshan Singh-Bhuller, Henri Oguike, Wendy Houstoun, Carol Brown and Simon Birch. She has also performed works by Rodger Belman, Sølvig Edwardsen, Francesco Scavetta, Kari Hoass and Anne H. Ekenes. In 2008, she received scholarship to attend Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company’s “Move-it”, as well as full tuition scholarship to attend American Dance Festival 2009 and 2010, were she performed in the reconstruction of “Infinity” by Laura Dean and ADF premier “ Sepia” by Tatiana Baganova. Prior to OSU Miss Clemmensen was teaching fulltime in Demark at Gerlev IH, Dance department.
